Diposkan oleh Pengetahuan dan Pengalaman on Friday, July 29, 2011

Much of Karisma Kapoor’s success can be attributed to her spicy numbers like ‘Sarkai Lo Khatiya’, ‘Sexy Sexy’, and many others. Now, the lost in the dark item girl of tinsel town is back in the limelight once again and how. Not only is elder Kapoor sister doing a full length role in Vikram Bhatt’s 3D horror flick ‘Dangerous Ishq’, the girl is going all glam once again with a cameo ‘item’ entry in multi-starrer ‘Housefull 2’.
Well, Karisma was not the first choice for this item number and Sajid Nadiawala had first made the offer to the Bong beauty Rani Mukherjee. When Rani refused to do it, he offered it to Karisma with whom he has already worked in films like ‘Jeet’ and ‘Judwaa’.
As for us, we can’t just wait to see the sexy lady groove on-screen once again!!

karishma kapoor Biography

Diposkan oleh Pengetahuan dan Pengalaman on Thursday, July 9, 2009

If there is one actress who has undergone a complete metamorphosis, that has to be no one but the suave Karishma Kapoor. From the not so good looking Karishma in her debut film “Prem Quaidi” in 1991, to the sexy and smart Karishma in the superhit “Dil To Pagal Hai”, it has been a rollercoaster ride full of high rises and pitfalls.
Born on 25th June, 1974, with a golden spoon, to the much renowned actors Babita and Randhi Kapoor, Lolo, as she is fondly addressed, belongs to the 4rth generation of actors in her family beginning from the legendary Prithviraj Kapoor.
In the former years of her career, Karishma acted in many films which flopped at the box office, such as “Police Officer”, “Sapne Saajan Ke”, “Jigar”, “Dhanwan”, “Aatish” and “Suhaag”. The audience did not accept her at all and it needed a lot of patience and perseverance along with some serious tips from her mom, before, Karishma ventured into doing more films.
By the end of the 90’s the world saw a totally new avatar of Karishma thanks to her designer and close friend Manish Malhotra. From her new attires, hair style, personality to her entire attitude, the audience was completely awestruck with the beauty and talent of this superstar. Not only had her appearance turned inside out, Karishma was now bubbling with talent.
She gave some memorable performances in films like “Raja Hindustani”, “Judwaa”, “Biwi no. 1”, “Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge”, “Fiza” and “Zubeidaa”. After almost a decade into Bollywood from 1991, Karishma was now a mega star. She was not only one of the busiest actresses of her times but one of the highest paid too.
After a brief engagement to Abhishek Bachchan in 2000, Karishma married Sanjay Kapur, a businessman based in Delhi and a family friend. Though there was news that she was about to split with her divorced husband, Karishma today seems quite content with a family and a 2 year old daughter Samiera.
Karisma kapoor has always given something more to her character in her every film. Though post marriage, she hasn’t appeared in many films, we are still waiting to get a glimpse of this sizzling beauty on the silver screen.
