Kiwi Bruce Anstey won Monday's Supersport race at the ISle of Man TT races,on his Honda after a mechanical breakdown ruled him out of the top spot in Saturday's Superbike race.
Anstey is quoted as saying he felt he was 'riding like a wuss' but was able to capitilize on problems experienced by others in the leading group.
Both second and third place finishers had remarkable journeys to the rostrum. Keith Amor crashed in practice injuring his shoulder but rode a gutsy race to claim the runner up spot. Meanwhile Guy Martin crashed in the race, at Cregny Baa, but was able to compete after the intial race was restarted.
The intial race was marred by the death of Derek Brein.
