Shiney was born a Tauran on May 15. He graduated from R. V. College of Engineering, Bangalore with a specialisation in Computer Science and Engineering. He came into the Bollywood news with his much hyped “Hazaaron Khwahishein Aisi” which released in 2005. It was considered one of the best made films of that year and got Shiney rave reviews from the common and the critics as well as the Best male debut Filmfare award for his performance.

“Gangster” followed soon after in 2006, in which Shiney played the title role. This flick took him to the top of stardom. He was now a known name and a loved face. He had a lot of female fan following too. Though this film also starred Emraan Hashmi, Shiney was not overshadowed at all.

From then on, there was no looking back for this extremely talented actor. He appeared in a no. of superhit films like “Fanaa”, “Woh Lamhe”, “Zindagi Rocks” and the very recently released “Life in a Metro”. All the roles he played had something different to portray than the previous film.

Shiney does not believe in socializing to hit the headlines. A professional to the core, he wants to get roles by merit and not through links in the industry. But of late he has been termed the “King” of Replacements. After replacing Shoaib Akhtar in ‘Gangster’ and then Emran Hashmi in ‘Woh Lamhe’ Ahuja is all set to get into the shoes of Saif Ali Khan in Mira Nair’s film on Aids.

However he gets the roles, the audience surely wants to see more and more of this bundle of talent. And they won’t be disappointed ‘coz Shiney has a no. of projects lined up such as, “Khoya Khoya Chand” and “Bhool Bhulaiya”.
