Same genes... same jeans: Cindy Crawford and her daughter Kaia stroll to the shops in Malibu
With supermodel genes in her blood, it’s no surprise that Cindy Crawford’s nine-year-old daughter Kaia is turning into a beauty.
The resemblance was all the more clear as the two stepped out for a spot of shopping at the Point Dume Plaza, an upmarket shopping village in Malibu dressed in very similar outfits.
The pair both wore dark skinny jeans, white tops and ballet flats
Pressure: Cindy has admitted to using Botox to fight the ageing process, and hasn't ruled out going under the knife in the future
While Cindy, 44, kept it simple with black shoes and a vest top, Kaia opted for a brighter version with bright aqua-toned shoes and her T-shirt had a colourful embellished pocket.
Lucky Kaia has not only inherited Cindy's fashion sense, but also her famous chestnut hair and dark brown eyes.
A career following in her model mother’s footsteps could well be in her future.
Like mother, like daughter: Genetically blessed Kaia, nine, could follow in her model mum's footsteps
While her daughter may be a few years from turning into potential competition, Cindy has recently admitted to succumbing to the pressures of looking young.
Cindy Crawford on the cover of Ladies' Home Journal
Cindy told Ladies’ Home Journal: 'When I was 30 I might have said, "I'm going to age in a way that honours time and is completely natural".'
'But I'm no longer so highbrow about it.’
'I've tried Botox but it scares me. Plastic surgery is really scary, but as long as you don't use these things to change your face, I think it's OK.’
After two children with husband Rande Gerber - their son, Presley, is ten - Cindy has noticed a change in her body.
'I don't expect to look the way that I used to,’ she said.
'I do have cellulite.’
